Stacey Lasure, of Savannah, Georgia passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, April 24, 2023, due to a heart attack. She was only 63 years old. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death.
Survivors include her mother, Sandra Garland Hardy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Julie Lasure and Rick and Michelle Lasure; stepmother, Judy Lasure; stepbrother and stepsister Tommy and Linda Skelley; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Stacey was born January 29, 1960, to Keith and Sandra Lasure in Canton, Ohio. In her childhood, Stacey was an adorable, spitfire who loved riding horses and competing in 4-H. She grew up in North Canton and Louisville, Ohio and graduated from Louisville Senior High School. Stacey later attended the Timken Mercy School of Nursing. Although she didn’t pursue a career in nursing, she was the defacto medical expert to family, friends and co-workers and that knowledge, combined with her caring nature, could always be counted on to comfort friends and family in times of need.
Stacey’s love of animals led her to a career grooming, boarding, and caring for dogs for 18 years at Promway Kennels in North Canton, Ohio. She later moved to Savannah, Georgia for an opportunity to pursue her love of cooking. Those culinary pursuits eventually led to the Executive Chef position at the Riverfront Marriott in Savannah.
Having fulfilled her goals in the culinary arts, Stacey recently decided to try something different and served as Office / Sales Manager at Drive Line in Savannah. Like most of her life’s pursuits, Stacey found something that interested her, taught herself to do it and excelled!
Stacey had a generous heart, an infectious laugh, and a beautiful smile for everyone. She was a private person, but friends and family were treated to a brilliant wit and a saucy sense of humor that delighted all. Stacey was independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She was a voracious reader who loved the beach, cooking, video gaming, and her dogs and cats. An information sponge, she seemed to know something about everything in life.
Stacey is now sailing to shores we can’t see. Fortunately, we know she is floating peacefully with her dad Keith and grandma Aldene in the crystal-clear waters of her dreams.
