Simmons Walter Hadden, 84, of Port Wentworth, and formerly of Pooler, GA, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born in Metter, GA, and was a member of Rothwell Street Baptist Church.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army, and was the retired owner of K & R Construction Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Winona Jean Morris Hadden, and is survived by a son, Randy Hadden (Kathy), of Metter, GA; 2 daughters, Kathy Hillis, Port Wentworth, GA, and Kaysha Godsey,(Wade) of Bloomingdale, GA; a brother, Talmadge Hadden, Metter, GA; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Baker McCullough Funeral Home , Garden City Chapel, with Rev. Travis Cowart, officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
