Sidney "Sid" Walton Jones, Jr., 55, of Portal Georgia passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Sidney Walton Jones, Sr. and the late Marilyn Coleman Scarboro Jones.
Sid was a jack of all trades, he was the owner of Sid's Towing and had driven the wrecker for many years at Oglethorpe Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his children, Shelbie Jones of Portal, GA, David Jones of Savannah, GA, his brother, Michael A. Jones (Dianna) of Beaufort, SC., sisters, Christina J. Mears (Tim) of Brusly, LA, Theresa Ann Jones (Mark) of Barnesville, GA, aunt, Judy Jones, close friends, Johnny Mears, Tim Turnbow, James Burdett, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 great nephew, other family and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 pm. Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Grace Community Church, 4703 Pulaski Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458.
