Shirley Mae Woods

Shirley Mae Woods, age 84, of Savannah passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Mrs. Woods was born on March 30, 1940 in Statesboro to the late Claude Alvin Ridgdill and the late Myrtle Miller Ridgdill. She retired from working at KMart and was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Talmadge Woods; brother, Johnny Ridgill; sister Claudia Keel; and granddaughter, Victoria Woods.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Franklin Woods, Neal Woods (Detra); sister, Billie Jean Keel (Bobby); grandchildren, Brandi Lowe (Bryan), Matt Zettler (Marie), and Brittany Woods. Eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to Sunabella of Savannah (11310 White Bluff Rd. Savannah, GA 31419).
