Shirley Johnson Davidson

Shirley Johnson Davidson, 76, of Port Wentworth, GA passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of Charlie Ben Johnson and Maye G. Johnson. She attended Chatham County schools and graduated from Robert W. Groves High School. Following graduation, she pursued a career in child welfare, having been employed by Greenbriar Children's Center, Treutlen House and St. Mary's Children's Home before retiring. She was an avid animal lover, but most especially loved her family with all of her heart.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Davidson.

Surviving are sons, James "Chris" Davidson (Kristen F. Davidson) and Brian Steven Davidson; granddaughters, Kaylyn Davidson Brakebill (Tim) and Malory Davidson (Chris Batchelor); great gradnchildren, Xaiden, Xyler and Adelynn Ward and Silas Batchelor; and dearest friends, Betty Cossingham, Debbie Brown and Ms. Williams.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 at 10am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Joshua Peavy officiating.
