Shirley Kaye Cooper, 54, of Bloomingdale passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
A native of Savannah Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Edison Cook and Rozanna "Ann" Driggers Cook.
Kaye was active member of Powers Baptist Church for 28 years. She was on the Bereavement Committee, a Bible School Worker and cared for the Seniors Group. She was a 1985 graduate of Effingham County High School and worked for over 20 years for Raymond Daiss Towing as a Dispatcher.
Survivors include her husband Steven "Steve" W. Cooper, children, Brandi Toney (James) of Marlborough, MA, Cody Hodges (Ashley) of Guyton, Matthew Cooper of Bloomingdale, mother, Ann Cook, grandchildren, Colton and Delaney Hodges, siblings, Diane Heitman (Joe) of Savannah, Eddie Cook (Terri) of Guyton, Phyllis Cook of Bloomingdale, several nieces, nephews other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Powers Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Travis B. Cowart, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Powers Baptist Church Cemetery on Old River Road.
