Shirley Anne Hendricks Dunn, 83, of Garden City, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Moorehaven, Florida but had lived in Garden City, for many years.
She was born September 22, 1935, and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City, Ga., for 67 years, and the Lydia Sunday School Class, the Adult Choir, and the Women's Missionary Society, She was a homemaker, who stayed home, looking after her children.
She first started out making Birthday Cakes, and later developed into Wedding Cakes, and then that turned into Catering, Rehearsal Dinners and Weddings.
She is survived by her husband, James "Boyce" Dunn, of Garden City, Ga; son, James David Dunn, of Garden City, Ga; daughter, Angela D. Key (Allan Higgs), of Bloomingdale, Ga; brother, Larry Hendricks (Marie), of Faulkville, Ga; a grandson, Jeremy Edwards, of Bloomingdale, Ga; 2 great grandchildren, Bryce Edwards, and Mallory Fowler, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Thursday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, in the Chapel, of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Speir officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
