Sheila Annette Lamb-Lindblad

November 18, 1964 — July 17, 2022

Mrs. Sheila Annette Lamb-Lindblad, 57, of Savannah passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Candler Hospital.

A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of the late Robert "Bobby" Alvin Lamb, Sr. and Annette Knight Lamb.

Sheila was a very active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended since she was only 1 week old. Throughout her life, she was involved in many ministries at Woodlawn, including WMU, GA’s, Acteens, Good News Club, Upward Basketball, Kids Church, Vacation Bible School, and more. She had a passion for working with children and desired to share the love of Christ with everyone she encountered. Sheila retired from the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System after 32 years of devoted service and dedication to her students. She served as a Lead Gifted Program Specialist for most of her career. Sheila taught at Sprague Elementary, Pooler Elementary, West Chatham Middle, Godley Station K-8, and Bloomingdale Elementary. Teaching was her true calling. She took such joy in seeing her students cultivate their creativity and get excited about learning.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, William "Will" A. Lindblad, II, their children, William A. Lindblad, III and Jessica A. Lindblad, granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace "Gracie" Lindblad, her mother, Mrs. Annette Knight Lamb, brothers, Robert Lamb, Jr. (Sandy), J. David Lamb (Carol), Alan Lamb (Kit), several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Woodlawn Baptist Church; services will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Gary Johnson and Rev. Matthew Travis officiating. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Milan, GA at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Woodlwan Baptist Church, 407 Talmadge Ave, Garden City, GA 31408.
