Sheila Loraine Ennis, age 80, of Savannah passed away Monday, March 25, 2024.
Mrs. Ennis was born July 30, 1943 in Savannah to the late George Oliver Gordon, and the late Agnes Grace Wilson. Sheila worked for many years as a secretary for Chatham County Board of Education. After attending one cake decorating class, she excelled and started teaching the class herself. Sheila was an amazing baker. From cupcakes to fruitcake cookies, everything she made was delicious. Sheila was very creative and talented. She could look at a picture and figure out a way to make it herself. She could do anything she placed her mind to. From sewing, crocheting, pottery, quilling, etc.. Sheila was also a very attentive Grammie who loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how to quill and sew for themselves.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Norman Franklin Ennis, III; her parents; one brother; and one sister.
Sheila is survived by her children, Norman Franklin Ennis IV (Kimberly Hodges), Lori Ennis Fritts, and Jennifer Silva (Tony); four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
