Shannon J. Johnson, 47, of Savannah, GA, went to be with Jesus on January 10, 2020, where he reunited with his dad who recently passed away. He was a Christian and loved the Lord.
Shannon graduated from Groves High School in 1990, then went to pursue a degree in horticulture, where he graduated in 1995 from the University of Georgia. He most recently was a financial advisor at Mass Mutual.
He was a great friend to so many, with his contagious smile and whitty personality. He enjoyed boating and fishing out on the open waters, and had a strong love for sports, especially football. (Go Dawgs)
Shannon was a loving son, brother, and friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Myrtice Johnson; brother, Tony Johnson (Sue); two sisters, Terry Johnson and Wendy Turner (Keith); several aunts and uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brian Cartee, Brandon Edwards, Jamie Kreyenbuhl, Greg Saunders, Phil Carr, and Thomas Sanders.
