April 7, 1951 – April 14, 2024
In loving memory of Sean Chhay, age 73, who peacefully passed away on April 14th, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on April 7th, 1951, in Cambodia to Sam and Nay Kim Chhay, Sean's life was a testament to resilience, love, and hard work.
During the Vietnam War, Sean met and married Nicole (Pollock), the mother of his cherished children. Together, they moved to Houston, Texas, where Sean worked tirelessly to build a better life for his family. Starting with a humble donut shop, he later went to gemology school and became a skilled jeweler.
In his later years, Sean found tranquility in Bluffton, SC, alongside his wife Annie Ta. There, he embraced a new chapter as a skilled nail technician. His final years were spent in retirement, where he enjoyed the simple pleasures of gardening, music, and the beautiful beaches that surrounded him.
Though Sean has departed this world, his spirit lives on in the cherished memories he leaves behind. As he reunites with his beloved sister Tho Chhay, may his soul find eternal peace and his memory continue to inspire generations to come.
He is survived by his children and grandchildren Juliet Bishop (spouse Wesley, children Cooper and Kaylee), Michelle Ford (spouse Travis, children Edison and Henry), Michael Chhay (spouse Lily), Charlie Nguyen, and Steven Nguyen; His wife Annie (step-daughter Lien); His nephews and nieces Jimmy Chhay (spouse Metta), Andrew Chhay (spouse Visakha), Billy Chhay (spouse Dara), Paula Kong (spouse Bora), Alex Chhay (spouse Mary) , Kim Raley (spouse Boray); And many great-nieces and great-nephews.
