Savitaben Bhanubhai Patel, 80 peacefully went into The Arms of Lord Krishna on August 16, 2020 at Effingham Care Center.
Savitaben was born on August 11, 1940 to the late Bakorbhai and Maniben Patel in Anakhi, India.
Savitaben grew up in Nobar, India as an eldest sibling to her two brothers and four sisters. She was a true leader and very much an intellectual in all aspects of life.
Marrying her late husband Bhanubhai M Patel of Mobha Gujarat on January 13 1955, she later settled in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to raise her family. In 1993, she finally moved to USA to be with her grown up children and their families.
She enjoyed exploring the world, going to the temple, and most of all loved being in social gatherings with her family and friends.
Savitaben is survived by her son, Prakash B. Patel (Hemal) of Rincon, GA and grandsons, Rishi and Param; daughter, Dharmista Amin (Kamlesh) of Walterboro, SC and their daughters Shirali (Jay) and Nirzari (Harshal) ; and daughter, Jyotika Amin (Jaymesh) of Fords, NJ and their children Ami and Sandeep (Kavita) along with great granddaughters Isha and Mila along with large extended family who truly loved her.
Family would like to thank friends and family members who have helped with her care and support during her long illness.
A special thank you to a long term caregiver Ruth Bell, who had become her third daughter in the last so many years.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lawrence Adjei, who took care of her for many years and has become a dear friend to the family. As well as, The Entire Team of Effingham Care Center and Effingham Health System for taking extra care of their mom.

A private funeral is scheduled on August 17, 2020
