Sam "Tugboat" Tomlin

Sam “TugBoat” Tomlin, age 87, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Sam served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, the Savannah Saint Patrick's Day Committee, and the American Legion Post 154 of Tybee Island. Sam was a Tug Boat Captain and retired from Atlantic Towing Company.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ruth Tomlin.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Tomlin; several nieces and nephews, and extended family
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Richard Smith from Kindred Hospice officiating. A burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Legion Post 154 of Tybee Island.
