Sallie Mixon Cary of Garden City passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Sallie was born June 3, 1949 in Savannah, GA to the late Leo and Mary Alyce Mixon. She was a proud graduate of Groves High School Class of 1969 and a lifetime member of North Salem Baptist Church.
Ms. Cary retired from Gulfstream and was a volunteer for many years with the Garden City Recreations Department and was a member of the Madd Hatters.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Mixon and Mark Mixon.
Survivors include her son, David Zachary Cary; a granddaughter, Jessica Cary; sisters, Sylvia Eargle, Ann Margaret Collins, and Margaret L. Stafford; brother, John Mixon; niece, Karen Ramsey; nephew, Randy Eargle; other family and many friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 18, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the North Salem Baptist Church on Highway 30 followed by a Service to Celebrated Sallie's life beginning at 3:00 pm with Pastor Quillian S. Mercer "Bro. Q" officiating.
The family has asked in lieu flowers that donations be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc. P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31408
