Ruby L. Bryant, age 88, passed away after a brief illness Friday, December 2, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Bonaventure Funeral Home with Rev. John Novikoff, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with James Bryant, Jackie Brown, Tommy Hagen, Alex Schuman, Tyler Brown and Jimmy Hagen serving as pallbearers.
Ruby was born in Swainsboro, GA on May 17, 1923 to the late Virgil V. Hill and Ollie Mae Brinson Hill. She worked in retail for many years and was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Eslie Bryant and a sister, Norma Hill Moe.
Survivors include: daughters, June B. Muns, Jeri B. Weeks and husband Jerry all of Savannah; a son, James L. Bryant of Savannah, three grandchildren, Jack E. Brown, Jr. (Gloria), Laura Paige Schuman and Corey M. Weeks, four great-grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Alex Schuman, Malina Brown and Mallory Weeks, one sister, Mae H. Erickson and one brother, Ellis Hill both of Jacksonville, Fl. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
