Ruby Hatley Harrington

- SAVANNAH - Ruby Hatley Harrington was born on May 30, 1927 in Albemarle, NC. She passed away on Sept. 13, 2016 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

After moving to Savannah in 1962 with her husband and daughters she spent many years involved in various areas of Girl Scouting. Her greatest love was as troop leader of junior high and high school girls (Cadettes and Seniors).  Ruby was an active member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church for more than so years. She was a member of the chancel choir, hand bell choir, Circle #1, and was a recipient of the Honorary Life Membership in Presbyterian Women.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, T.O. Harrington. Survivors include her 3 daughters: Jan Mariette (Richard), Deb Beusse, and Dawn DeCamp (Dan) all of Savannah, GA, 4 grandchildren: Ashley "AJ" Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Stephanie Beusse Burr (Scott) of NYC, Zac Copeland of Atlanta, and Caleb Copeland of Savannah, 3 great-grandchildren: Kaiah and Keegan Johnson and Saxon Burr as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in the   Carolinas and Texas.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.  White Bluff Presbyterian Church with a visitation and reception immediately following the service.
