Retired US Army SSGT, Roy Wendell Lee, 69, of Guyton, Georgia passed away Thursday, Jul 7, 2016 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Roy was born in Savannah, Georgia and was raised in Bulloch County. He was a 1965 graduate of South East Bulloch High School. Roy enjoyed Golf, Bowling and Baking.
A retired US Army Veteran, Roy did many tours in Vietnam. He was a recipient of numerous medals and awards including a Purple Heart, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and many more. He was an aide to General Colin Powell. After his retirement from the US Army he had worked for the Coastal Correctional Prison, and was a salesman with Franklin Chevrolet.
Survivors include his wife Kay Lee; son, Brandon Lee; step-sons, Donny and Loretta Morris, Bobby Morris; sister, Robin Knight; grandchildren, Joseph, Lenni, Kalyn, Kandice, Griffin, Gage and Garren.
Services will be private.
