Rosendo Ramirez, 89, of Savannah, GA passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his home.
Rosendo is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean and Vietnam War. During his service in the military he was a Chief Hospital Corpsman with the Fleet Marine Force, and after his retirement served as a correctional officer in the states of Texas and New Mexico.
He is a baptized Jehovah's Witness who loved to draw his life stories in the form of cartoon caricatures. Rosendo was also certified Radiologist.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Vicenta Ramirez; 3 brothers, 4 sisters) and 1 grandson, Glenn Eric Borgner.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria G. Ramirez; sons, John Ramirez (Sherri) and James Ramirez (Romie); daughters, Gloria Ann Borgner (Glenn), Rosie R. Cason (Brian) and Sophia R. Dixon (David); .9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
