Ronnie David Helmuth Sr., born to Paul and Della Helmuth on July 17, 1942 in Statesboro, GA, 76, passed peacefully on Monday while in the care of Hospice Savannah. He was retired from the Chatham Area Transit and resided in Faulkville, GA, where he enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Helmuth is preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Jo Anne Colson Helmuth. He is survived by his sister, Francis Denmark; brother, Charles Helmuth; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie David Helmuth Jr. and Jessica Helmuth; his daughter, Denise Pittman; three granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Julianna, and Kali; one grandson, Wyatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Homes and Crematory on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6p.m. to 8p.m.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 12p.m. with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
