Pooler-Ronald Snelling, age 80, passed away peacefully November 12, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.
The Indiana native served in the Army, but painting was his true passion. He was a hard-worker and gained respect of customers near and far with his business, Ron Snelling Painting, for at least 50 years. He loved his family above all, and anyone that entered his home became a part of it. He will always be remembered for the special bond that he had with his wife, Josie, bouncing grandchildren on his feet, singing old hymns, and for the traditional chili that he made with love every year. He was a very generous and loving person, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Graham and Margie Snelling and his brother, Billy Joe Snelling.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Josie Snelling; his son, Chuck Snelling (Mary Ann), his daughters, Lisa Martin (Danny), Pam Badgett (Frankie), Rhonda Butler (Neal), and Sondra Hagy (Richard); fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; his sister, Rebecca Warren, and his brothers, James Snelling, Richard Snelling, and Monty Snelling.
A private memorial will be held with the family at a later date.
