Mr. Ronald Roberts (Ron), 65, of Pooler, passed away on Friday August 25, 2017 at Candler Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was bon on July 5, 1952 and was a graduate of Robert W. Groves High School. He was a member of the United States Air Force and a former police officer with the Savannah Police Department. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Armstrong State College. Ron was head of Loss Prevention at Belk Department Store and retired from The Rape Crisis Center after 15 years as the Prevention Coordinator. Ron was an incredible man with a heart of gold and he touched many lives throughout his career. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Frankie Roberts of Port Wentworth.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 37 years Suzy Roberts of Pooler; children Margaret Williamson (Scott) of Midway, Jesse Roberts of Bloomingdale; granddaughter Berkley Williamson; siblings Debra Collins (Jim) of Savannah, Don Roberts of Richmond Hill, Glenda Mullins (Wesley) of Richmond Hill, sister-in-law Shannon Hecklinger (Gene) of Wallingford, CT; nieces and nephews Hillary Roberts, Jake Mullins, Hudson and Kathleen Hecklinger.

Visitation will be 6 pm - 8pm on Wednesday, August 30. 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, 2794 Hwy 80, Garden City, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abby West, 1336 Dean Forest Rd, Savannah, GA.
