Ron B. Fenters, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on April 12, 1946, in Hemingway, South Carolina,
Ron lived a life filled with hard work, passion, and commitment. He graduated from Kingstree High School and built a respected career as an expert with Geico and in auto repair. A dedicated and faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Ron was an active member of the Westside Christian Church. His faith was central to his life, guiding his actions and values. Throughout his life, Ron was proud to be a member of the Dixieland Cruisers Car Club, where he shared his passion for classic cars. Known for his extensive gun collection, Ron also held the distinction of being an Eagle Scout, a testament to his character and dedication from a young age.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 23 years, Iris Cade Fenters; his parents, Marian Olivia Fenters (née Strong) and Amos Loyd Fenters; and his brother, Wayne Fenters (Linda).
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Fenters of 26 years, in Pooler, Georgia; his children, Bruce Fenters (Ellen), Wes Fenters (Laura), Lori Creech (Brad), Mallie Clark (Kathy) and Cassie Clark. His cherished grandchildren include Natalie (Cason) Prytle, Nathan Fenters, Daniel and Luke Fenters, Bradley, Brian, and Anabelle Creech, as well as Ruby and Frieda Clark, Alana and Morgan Martin, and Amelia Martinez; his siblings, Eric Fenters, Harold Fenters (Lynda), and Brian Fenters (Barbara)
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Westside Christian Church in support of their homeless ministry or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, causes that were close to Ron's heart.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Westside Christian Church, 1106 US-80 Bloomingdale, GA 31302 with visitation from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
