Ronald Glenn Burgstiner, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on July 24, 1952, in Savannah, Georgia, Ronnie lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family, friends, and his many passions.

Ronnie lived the majority of his life in Savannah, Georgia and anyone that knew him could see his love for his hometown and for the Georgia Bulldogs. In 2021, Ronnie moved to Lebanon, TN to be close to his daughter and grandchildren. Ronnie was a retired Railroad Engineer who dedicated his career to CSX Railroad. His hard work and commitment were admired by colleagues and family alike. Ronnie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard.

Ronnie was a man of many talents and interests. He was known for his skillful woodworking and stained-glass creations, which brought beauty and joy to those around him. A true outdoorsman, he cherished his time hunting and fishing, always finding peace in nature. A man of the Methodist faith, he carried his beliefs close to his heart.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Shelley Hicks, and her husband, Andrew, as well as his treasured grandchildren, Riley and Levi. He leaves behind his siblings, Bruce Burgstiner, Jr. (Darlene), Kenny Burgstiner (Angie), Betty Brannen (Mickey), Kathy Lawson (Harry), Frankie Preston (Scott), and Shirley Carter. Ronald's memory will also be cherished by several nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Jane Griner Burgstiner.

Family, friends, and those whose lives Ronnie touched are invited to a visitation starting at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia.

In this time of loss, let us celebrate Ronnie’s life, remembering the joy, laughter, and love he brought into the world. He will be dearly missed but forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
