Rodger Allan Clay, 82, of Savannah, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at his residence under the care of Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and was retired after 22 years of service with the U.S. Army, having served in both Korea and Vietnam, and 18 years of service with the State of Georgia.
Rodger was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
He was a member of Hope Baptist Church, and an active member and Officer with the Fraternal Order of the Police.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Linda Williams Clay of Savannah; children, Bonita Saxon (Robert), of Guyton, Robert E. Clay of Guyton, David (Tracy) Queen of Springfield and Terri Rahal (Anthony) of Savannah; 1 brother, Ronnie Clay (Maureen) of Springfield; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation: 1 - 2 p.m. Monday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel,
Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Monday, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. John Tramell, officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery, with Full Military Honors.
