Robert William "Bobby" Burke

Robert William “Bobby” Burke, age 68, of Savannah, GA passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at home.
Bobby was born on September 20, 1954 in Savannah, GA, the son of the late Ray Thomas Burke, Sr. and Alice G. Burke. He was a 1972 graduate of Jenkins High School and continued his formal education at Armstrong State University, earning a degree in chemistry. He began his career with Union Camp and later International Paper working as a chemical analyst. He retired after many years of service from Arizona Chemical. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Bobby enjoyed collecting stamps, HO gauge trains and baseball cards.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Burke. He is survived by his siblings, Ray Burke, Jr., John Burke, Kathy Tinker, and Don Burke.
A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
