Robert "Vance" Henderson

Robert “Vance” Henderson, age 62, of Savannah passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Mr. Henderson was born on July 23, 1959 in Savannah, the son of Bobbie Vance Henderson and the late Robert T. Henderson, Sr. He was a 1977 graduate of Savannah High School and continued his formal education at Georgia Tech. Following his tenure at Georgia Tech he served and was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for many years in computer science and data processing. He was raised as a member of Independent Presbyterian Church and later attended Calvary Baptist Temple. Vance enjoyed volunteering his time with various organizations, including the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association. He also enjoyed golf.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his mother, Bobbie Vance Henderson; sister, Rebecca Henderson Gnann (Rick); brothers, Robert Thomas Henderson, Jr. (Holly) and Allen Hunter Henderson; as well as 6 nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Bonaventure Cemetery.
