Robert "Bob" Lewis Stanford, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at home.
Bob was born on August 17, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to the parents of Raymond E. and Rosalie (Armstrong) Stanford. Bob married his true love Suzanne (Knapp-Seymour) Stanford on May 11, 1984, recently celebrating thirty eight years together. Bob retired in January 2015 from United Technologies-Otis Elevator and IUEC LOCAL 138 in Poughkeepsie, New York with over forty years in the business. After retiring, Bob and Suzanne relocated to Guyton, Georgia in 2017 following their son and grandchildren. This gave both Bob and Suzanne more quality grandparent time. Bob had many hobbies, his favorite being his love of fast cars. He also enjoyed several years of playing sports. However, coaching his children's teams were the best. He was a lifelong New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. Bob and his wife, Suzanne enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing competitively. They even won several competitions along the way.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and sister, Rhonda Sue Decker.
Bob left behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife and caregiver, Suzanne; sister, Rebecca (Ed) Hopper; children; grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Bobs final days were spent enjoying his family and making lasting memories.
