Robert Scott Leary

Robert Scott Leary, age 72, of Savannah passed away Friday, March 17, 2023.

Scott was born August 1, 1950 in Darby, Pennsylvania to the late William Harmon Leary and the late Eleanor Davis Leary. After graduating from pharmacy school, he moved to Savannah and started a career that expanded over 45 years. He was an active member of his church, where he sang in the church choir every Sunday. Scott was happiest when spending time with his grandson, Walden, cooking dinner for his family, drinking a cold beer on the beach, and making everyone around him laugh.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Toni W. Leary; son, Christopher Matthew Leary; daughter and son-in-law, Megan & Jonathan Jones; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick & Lynne Leary, Keith Leary, and Jonathan & Karen Leary; and one grandchild, James Walden Jones.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (10 W. 31st St. Savannah, GA 31401). A memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon.
