Robert "Buzzy" Saulter
January 8, 1943 — February 12, 2021
Robert (Buzzy) Saulter, 78, of Savannah, GA passed away February 12, 2021 at Hospice Savannah surrounded by his family.
He was born January 8, 1943 to the late Harland Adelbert Saulter and Majorie Hilligas Saulter in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Pennsylvania and after graduating highschool joined the United States Air Force which brought him to Savannah in 1963 where he met the love of his life, T’Lene Johnson. The two were married on July 16, 1966 and together they enjoyed the blessing of two daughters. They attended Calvary Baptist Church.
After leaving the USAF, Robert began working for the United States Post Office, where he was a supervisor and retired after 20 plus years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, T’Lene Johnson Saulter; daughters, Kim Weathers and Robyn Hooks (Leon); brother, Joseph Saulter; sister, Gloria Smith; and grandchildren, Robert Hooks, Jodie Weathers and Jamie Weathers; and his nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 17, at 11am at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Grant officiating.
