Robert William (Dub) Nasworthy, age 83, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Savannah Specialty Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Bonaventure Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Dub was born October 1, 1928 in Midville, GA to the late Thomas Jefferson Nasworthy and Annie Lou Cross Nasworthy. He was the owner and operator of Quality Foods and Dub's Corner. He was retired from the United States Air Forces having served in the Korean War and was a member of The Sanctuary and also helped organize the Old City Mission in Savannah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie McGlohon Nasworthy, a brother and one sister.
Survivors include his son, Gary M. Nasworthy of Sylvania and two grandchildren, Christopher Nasworthy and Stormee Nasworthy both of Sylvania and several nieces and nephews also survives.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
