Robert Henry McLellan, 90, passed away September 26, 2023.
Robert was born on January 11, 1933 in Pensacola, Florida. He had resided in Savannah most of his life.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Howard S. McLellan and Florence Armstrong McLellan; five brothers Howard, Alvin, Cecil, Angus, Douglass; and one sister, Isabel.
Robert graduated from Savannah High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. Following his military tenure he continued education at Embry-Riddle where he received certification as an aircraft mechanic technician. Robert worked as an aircraft mechanic for over 60 years. Robert was a devoted member of Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, an Elder, and a member of the choir.
Robert is survived by his wife Betty of 67 years, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church, 450 N Cromwell Rd, Savannah, GA 31410.
An Inurnment will follow this service at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
