Robert Joel "Joe" Joey" Highsmith, 77, of Ellabell passed away Monday, May 8th, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
A native of Metter, Georgia, he was the son of late Elder Homer Highsmith and Vera Woods Highsmith. A resident of Black Creek, he enjoyed spending much of his time with family and friends. Joe also enjoyed fishing, golfing, working in the yard and watching T.V.
He was retired from Gulfstream and was a Primitive Baptist.
He was preceded in death by parents, and his brother, Jerry Highsmith.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Helen Stafford Highsmith; daughters, Teri Miles, Coni (Brett) Curtis, Brandy (Chris) Cochran and their daughter, Hayden, and Clarissa Tillman and her children, Michael (Sarah) Cobb, Tanner Tillman, Garrett Tillman, a great granddaughter, Ava Cobb; sisters, Vicki (David) Randall, Toni (Joe) Crawford; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 13th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
He will always be loved, missed, and remembered by his family and friends.
