Robert Larry Boyette, age 72, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
Larry was a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and especially his wife Kathleen that he always referred to as, "Leroy". In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Larry was a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corps. A proud veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War. While serving in the Marines he received three medals which include, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal, as well as the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. After Larry's military career came to an end, he worked as a Meat Cutter until he retired.
He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kathleen M. Boyette (Leroy) of Guyton; his children, Carrie Humphries (Christy) of Pembroke, John Strickland (Wendy) of Springfield, James R. Boyette of Savannah, Mitchell Boyette (Christina) of Richmond Hill, Amy Jankowski (Brian) of Richmond Hill, and Jimmy Stacey of Bloomingdale; 13 grandchildren, Katie Stokes of Guyton, Wesley Boyette of Savannah, Austin Poole of Savannah, Aiden Boyette of Richmond Hill, Laila Boyette of Richmond Hill, Tyler Jankowski of Richmond Hill, Sidney Jankowski of Richmond Hill, Clayton Winters of Springfield, Austin Winters of Springfield, Madison Coleman of Springfield, Phillip Ingram of Pembroke, Haylie Daniell of Pembroke, and Hunter Daniell of Pembroke; 3 great grandchildren, Robert, C.J., and Edwin Stokes of Guyton; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406 at 11:00 a.m. A burial will follow the funeral service at Bulloch Memorial Gardens, 22002 US-80, Statesboro, GA 30459.
