Robert Allen Kennedy, Jr.

Robert Allen Kennedy, Jr., age 65, of Midway, GA passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

Mr. Kennedy was born on October 24, 1955 in Savannah. He was a graduate of Jenkins High School and later earned his Associates Degree. He served for 14 years with the 117th ACC Georgia Air National Guard. He was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a current member of Bonnybridge Baptist Church. Robert was a member of Landrum Lodge #48, F. & A.M.’s where he served as Tyler, The Scottish Rite Consistory – Valley of Savannah, and the Alee Shrine where he was active with the Mobile and Dune Cat Units. He was a member and Past Patron of Laurel Chapter No. 51, O.E.S. and Button Gwinnett Chapter No. 497, O.E.S. and was currently serving as the Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Georgia, Order of the Amaranth.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; father, Robert Allen Kennedy, Sr. and his brother, Gary Randall Kennedy. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carole Taylor Kennedy; sons, Jason Churchill (Tiffany), Christopher Kennedy (Sarah), and Jeremy Kennedy; mother, Charlotte Kennedy Smith; sister, Debbie Reynolds; grandchildren, Madison, Julian, Katelyn, Megan, Logan, and Avery; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

A funeral service with Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with burial following at Greenwich Cemetery.
