Richard G. Walker, Sr., age 81, of Savannah passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Walker was born September 5, 1941 in Savannah to the late Rev. James William Walker, Sr. and the late Jennie Mae Grimes Walker. Before retiring, he was a carpenter. In addition, Mr. Walker attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a Veteran of the United States Air National Guard.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law, James W. Walker, Jr. (Winnie) and Robert M. Walker, Sr. (Iris).
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Haysman Walker; sons and daughter-in-law. Richard "Ritchie" Gerald Walker, Jr. (Jan) and Michael Anthony Walker; daughters & sons-in-law, Regina Walker Pawlowski (Larry) and Alexia Haysman Ehmen (Justin "Bubba"); brother and sister-in-law, Ronald M. Walker, Sr. (Katie); sister, Patricia "Patty" Walker Waters; nine grandchildren Megan, Micah, Chelsea, Natalie, Haley, Candace, Amanda, Easton, and Walker; and twelve great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, Georgia 31406).
