Richard "Slick Rick" C. Mixon, of Port Wentworth, Georgia passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home under the care of Arcadia Hospice and surrounded by his family.
Ricky was a native of Savannah and was the son of the late LB and Wilma Jean Lee Mixon. He was a veteran having served in the US Army and was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 36 years, Frances "Janelle" Mixon; a sister, Marlene Collins; his brother, Gary Mixon and a grandson, Ryan Price.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim Mixon (Whitney Williams); son, Kevin Mixon (Michele); 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister, Darlene Clark (Barry); several nieces, nephews, many friends and his faithful companion, Bella.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2018 at Life Springs Worship Center.
