Raymond L. Morgan Jr.

Raymond L. Morgan, Jr., age 80, of Savannah passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center.

Mr. Morgan was born in Effingham County on March 9, 1939, the son of the late Raymond and Estelle Morgan. He worked in medical supply for many years, retiring from Wachtels Medical Supply Company. Raymond served with the Air National Guard and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his niece, Tracy Ann Harr. He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn E. Morgan and Marcia A. Morgan; nephews, Ronald Harr (Victoria), John B. Harr (Donna), and Robert Morgan Osbourne (Katherine); nieces, Kelly E. Harr and Ashlea M. Osbourne; and 8 great nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 W. 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Clyo, GA.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
