Raymond James Nowicki, 87, of Savannah, GA. passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2016 at Marshview Senior Living. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Hazel Floyd Nowicki and a brother, Robert.
Mr. Nowicki was born on May 2, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI. He has lived in Savannah since his Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force in 1952 and was Honorably Discharged in 1963 from the Air Force Reserves. On March 21, 1952, he was married to Hazel Floyd at Calvary Baptist Temple by Rev. John S. Wilder.
Mr. Nowicki retired from Union Camp in 1993 after 40 years of service in Chemical Division. He was a supporter of the American Red Cross throughout his career. He was an active member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church.
Mr. Nowicki is survived by four sons, Raymond J. Nowicki, Jr. (Becky), Stanley F. Nowicki, (Michelle), Erick A. Nowicki, and Bruce A Nowicki, (Marnie); a daughter, Peggy N. Alberino, (Michael); 6 grandchilderen, 1 greatgrand child, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service: 11:00 am Wednesday September 7, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memory Garden with Dr. Rev. David Laughner officiating.
Memorial Contributions: Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church or Hospice Savannah.
