Raye "Blanche" Butler, 73, of Darien, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8th, 2024.
She was born in Savannah, GA on Saturday, March 18th, 1950 to the late Inez Forehand and the late Raymond Forehand.
Blanche worked as a receptionist for the City of Garden City for 14 years until her retirement and also at Carlstedt's Wholesale Florist for 20 years. She was a dedicated member of Blythe Island Baptist Church and had a passion for gardening, crafting, shopping, painting, photography, and animals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Timothy "Tim"; Mark Butler, and her parents.
Blanche is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle Smiley (Stacy) of Erin, TN, Jennifer England (Rocky) of Denton, TX, Sally "Katie" Draeger (Charles) of Townsend, GA, and son Don "Cameron"; Walden (Jamie McCurry) of Guyton, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Missy Hooks of TX, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a nephew.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm.
