Surrounded by family, Randy Allen Mitchell entered into an eternal rest on March 13th 2022.
A very loved husband, father, papa, friend and organ donor. He made a selfless decision to give life to others through his donations and is a hero in the eyes of many. Randy was Born in Honolulu, Hawaii and lived in various places throughout his childhood being in a military family. He graduated from Goose Creek High School, South Carolina. He was a catcher and a home run hitter for his high school baseball team. He moved to Savannah where he met the love of his life, Lynn, during their 35 years together they had four incredible children, Amber, Jessica, Randy, and Hunter. After meeting Lynn, they left for Arizona where they would live until 1993 while he worked as a General Manager for Shoney's. Once moving back and settling in Savannah, he began his career with Precision Machine Of Savannah. He made lifelong friends while he worked various titles in his 24 years there including machinist, planning and purchasing manager. Randy was a joker, a smoker, and played a lot of midnight poker. He also loved to challenge his family and friends in a game of cribbage.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Ronald Edward Mitchell; and his brother, Michael Lewis Mitchell.
He is survived by his mother, Nella Joyce Mitchell; his brother, Mark Edward Mitchell; his sister, Ronnie Kay Smith; his wife, Lynn; his four children, Amber (Luke), Jessica (Trevor), Randy, and Hunter; and his four granddaughters, Emma 10, Kyleigh 9, Kaycee 8, and Remy 3, who were all his heart and joy.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406 at 10:00 a.m.. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m..
