Ralph Jerome "Sam" Conley, 70, of Savannah, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at his residence, under the care of Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Statesboro, Ga., and was a graduate of Savannah High School, Class of 1964. He had served in the Ga Air National Guard from 1966 - 1974.
He was retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he served as a Cost Engineer.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and he enjoyed fishing, cooking and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Helen Hunter Conley, Savannah, Ga; son, Jamie Lee Conley, (Leasa) of Dothan, Alabama; daughter, Lisa Michelle Weaver (Roy Thomas Weaver) of Springfield, Ga; 4 grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Conley, Kellan Micah Conley, Brennan Max Conley, and Cody Samuel Weaver.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, with Dr. Charles G. Cooper, Sr., officiating.
Interment: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Screven Memorial Park, in Sylvania, Ga.
