Peter E. Dittmar

Peter E. Dittmar, 75, of Savannah, Ga, passed away Monday March 19, 2017 at his home. He was born in Rhinebeck, New York. Peter was a devoted husband, loving father, and a wonderful grandfather. He was a jack of all trades and helped as many people as he could that needed it. He was a man of integrity, morals, and ethics. Peter enjoyed being on the ocean and sailing. He had a dry sense of humor and passionately loved his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret Wetzler Dittmar; brother, Raddy Dittmar; and dog Bear.

His is survived by his wife of 14 years Georgia Davis Dittmar; daughters, Sonjia Ashley (Stephen) and Christina Buno (Brian); step-daughter, Bobbi Jean; 3 sisters, Virginia, Alice, and Sally;brother, Jim Dittmar; 2 grandchildren, Sophie Ashley and Sarah Ashley. He is also survived by his dogs: Ralphie, Kissy, and Peaches.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
