Peggy Jean Hudson

Mrs. Peggy Jean Hudson, 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, the 29th day of December 2022 at Candler Hospital.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Augusta, Georgia on February 27, 1929 to the late Clifford and Lenora Edwins.

Mrs. Hudson was a long time resident of Savannah. She was an active member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church for 74 years, singing in the choir and serving wherever she was needed. She was also a member of the Coffee Bluff Marine Rescue Squadron for 60 years. She enjoyed doing sports, line dancing, shopping and living life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by Robert (Bobby) F. Hudson, her husband of 55 years; her parents; her son, Robert C. Hudson; her son-in-law David Poppell; and her special friend, Dan Unser.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Poppell, and Teresa Reardon (Thad); her daughter-in-law, Mary Hudson; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, January 6, 2023, at White Bluff Presbyterian Church, 10710 White Bluff Road, Savannah, Georgia.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. and will be conducted by Reverend John Ruehl.

Interment will occur at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, Georgia.
