Pauline "Trixie" Grizzard Banks, 87, of Savannah, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 13, after a joyful life of service on Earth.
Pauline was born on September 30, 1929 in Savannah, the daughter of the late Jack and Pauline Grizzard.
Pauline was retired from the Chatham County Board of Education as a bus driver for special needs students.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Frank Banks, Sr; daughters, Diane Edwards and Regina Watson; brother, Buck Grizzard and Sister, Christine Sams.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Jane Horne (David) and Arlene Haire (Greg); son, Frank Banks (Elena); several grandchildren, great grandchildren great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, 16, from 12 -1 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., immediately following the visitation in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Little Neck Road, Savannah.
