Paul E. Stapleton, 72, of Guyton died Friday, June 7, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

A native of Swainsboro, Paul was the son of the late, Paul Franklin Stapleton and the late Doris Mills Mosley. He was a 1965 graduate of Robert W. Groves High School and was retired from Owens Corning after 52 years of service and was the co-owner of Joey's Store on Highway 30.

Paul enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, hunting and working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard Stapleton; step father, Carl Mosley; sister-in-law, BJ Hohman (his partner in crime).

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Hohman; children, Brianna Stapleton (Cody Chapman), Patricia Lynch (Charles), Thomas Wiggins (Kelly), Michael Stapleton (Rhonda), Paul Stapleton (Amy); sisters, Dottie Taylor, Linda Clay, Pauline Morgan (Bill); brothers, Joey Stapleton, Randy Stapleton (Glenda), Don Stapleton (Kathlene); brothers-in-law, Chuck, Richard and Craig Hohman; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel. Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Burial: Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
