Patricia Remley Pitts, 75, of Savannah passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at Hospice Savannah surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of the late George Henry Remley and Claudine Clark Remley. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church; the Alter Guild and Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

Patricia worked as a Secretary for the City of Savannah in the Department of Inspections for many years; she then went back to school and graduated from Armstrong State College in 1984 with a Registered Nurse Degree. Following graduation she worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, Westview Nursing Home where she was the Assistant Director of Nursing, Tara Nursing Home of Thunderbolt where she was the Director of nursing and then later retired from the US Corps of Engineers.

Survivors include her daughter, Tamara "Tammi" and Michael Clevenger of Pooler, GA; son, Gregory "Greg" A. and Cheri Smith of Acworth, GA; 7 grandchildren, Whitney and Carl Carbone, Justin Smith, Ben Smith, Georgia "Katie" Smith, Matthew Smith, Tessa Bailey, Kristen Lee; 5 great grandchildren, Leland Corta, Jaylynn Prince, Kayleigh Reynolds, Tristan and Mackenzie Carbone.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church followed by Inurnment in the Church Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church or Savannah Alzheimer's Association.
