Patricia Lynn Porter

Patricia Lynn (Peanut) Porter, 42, of Savannah, GA, passed away on January 23rd after a life-long battle with Systemic Lupus.

She was born on March 17, 1980 to Lynn Smith and Dan Muller in Panama City, FL, and raised in Savannah, GA where she attended Windsor Forest Elementary School, Bartlett Middle School, and Windsor Forest High School.

Patricia had a love for all of God’s two and four legged creatures. She volunteered as a wildlife rehabilitator at Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center. Patricia loved sushi, trivia night, and spending time with her family and friends.

Her greatest passion was spending time with her daughters, Sable and Kathleen. She treasured her time being a mom to her amazing girls.

Patricia was known for her sense of humor, contagious giggle, her strength and perseverance. What she lacked in stature, she more than made up for with personality. She was a hero and role model to everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. She was a warrior in her battles against Lupus. As one of her longtime friends said, “She was the best of us.”

Patricia is survived by her parents and two children, her husband Rick Porter, her siblings Wendy Muller and Daniel Muller, and a large clan of aunts, uncles, and cousins who hail from up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida, and out to the Rockies and beyond to the northwest coast.

Visitation will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Wilmington Island, 7020 Concord Road, Savannah, GA, on January 29th at 1:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.
