Patricia Ford Dellinger

May 11, 1951 – December 23, 2024

Pat departed this earth on Monday, December 23 in the arms of her Lord and Savior after a lengthy illness at Candler Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1951, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga, to Armene Mock Ford and Earl P. Ford, Jr. After graduating from Groves High School in 1969, she pursued her career in the Technical Field, working at Gulfstream for many years until her retirement in 2009. She then held various jobs in Alabama and Colorado before returning to her home in Savannah. She loved animals and her biggest joy in life was taking care of her five (5) fur babies, each one given a biblical name. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening although she admits “she usually ended up killing everything she planted in her garden” (her words). She was also an avid Amazon shopper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Armene Mock Ford and Earl P. Ford, Jr., sisters Zena Cannon Carter (J.T.), Earlene Toy (Ed), and Jean Elaine Ford, all of Savannah. She is survived by her sister Judy Ford Shinn, niece Cecilia (Cissie) Carter Hutcheson (Craig), and nephews Buddy Carter (Amy), all of Savannah, and Edward (Eddie) Toy (Debbie), of Florida, and several cousins.

Pat will be remembered as a faithful Christian, who loved her Lord. One of her favorite verses was “Great Strength comes from faith in God” – Zechariah 12:15.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406). Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
