Patricia Clemmons Austin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in Pooler, GA. She was born on February 12, 1948 in Charleston, SC. She was a devout Christian woman who lived her life daily for her lord and savior.
Mrs. Pat’s passion was always working with the Youth Ministry in every church she was a part of. Whether it was Pinopolis United Methodist Church in Pinopolis, SC, Memorial United Methodist Church in Fernandina Beach, FL or Crossroads Community Church in Summerville, SC, she touched the lives of many young people and brought them closer to God. Every single one of them had a piece of her heart.
Mrs. Pat was also involved in the Walk to Emmaus community both in SC and FL. She served as lay leader, table leader, in the kitchen or wherever she needed to be to help share God’s message. She loved working those retreats and adored every sister and brother in Christ she came across. She even went on mission trips to Mexico to help build homes and spread the gospel to the children of the community.
She was also a caring mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her heart and soul but she cherished all her family and loved them with all of her being. She was a tremendous positive influence and role model to them all.
Mrs. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Charles Austin Sr., her father James Clemmons, her mother Annie Clemmons Laflamme, her stepfather Ollie Laflamme, Her brothers Billy Clemmons (Pat), Raymond Clemmons (Lisa), Michael Clemmons (Kathy) her sweet dog Brice Bear and her precious daughter Theresa Austin Reeves (Paul).
She is survived by her son, Charles Austin Jr. (Joy), grandchildren Caleb and Clancey Reeves, adopted grandson Juan Cruz, son-in-law Paul Reeves, her sisters and best friends Dede Carter (Ed) and Sharon Thomas (Bill) and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
