Neal Sheppard George, age 26, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away Monday,
October 12, 2020 as the result of an accident.
Neal was born in Savannah, Georgia and moved to Brunswick when he was four. He loved living on the coast and was happiest when he was camping by the river, fishing and listening to music. A true country boy, Neal enjoyed riding country roads and just being outdoors. He was extremely patriotic and a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Neal never missed a UGA football game, whether in person or on TV. He loved pets and people, especially children, and was a kind, compassionate, sweet spirit who was always there to help friends and family with words of encouragement. He will be truly missed.
His maternal grandfather, Gene Taggart, paternal grandparents, John A. George, Sr. and Mary Nell George and an uncle, John A. George, Jr., preceded Neal in death.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tammy Taggart Purvis and Lamar Purvis of Brunswick; father and step-mother, Scott A. and Connie S. George of Garden City; two brothers, Christopher George of Brunswick and Alexander George (Brittany Kobayashi) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Diana George of Garden City and Jennifer Williams (Jimmy) of Brunswick; maternal grandmother, Gail Beck of Blairsville, Georgia; an aunt, Debbie George of Savannah and five uncles, Tommy Taggart of Savannah, Terry Taggart (Karen) of Bloomingdale, Teddy Taggart of Richmond Hill, Donald George (Beth) of Savannah and Joseph George (Cindy) of Richmond Hill.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick.
